What makes hybrid flooring different

The name refers to its construction. A dense stone-polymer core sits beneath a decorative layer and a transparent wear layer, combining the rigidity of laminate with the water resistance of vinyl. Unlike timber or laminate, the core does not absorb moisture, so boards stay dimensionally stable through humidity changes and spills rather than swelling at the joints.

Where hybrid flooring works

Straight lay or herringbone

Both use the same waterproof construction, so the decision is about the look you want rather than performance.

Installation and ordering

Boards join with a click-lock system and float over most existing hard surfaces without glue or nails, which makes hybrid a practical retrofit over concrete slabs, tiles and existing timber. Order samples before committing, since timber tones shift noticeably under different lighting conditions.
