Accessories are what separate a professional-looking installation from an obvious one. Expansion gaps need covering, doorways need a clean meeting point, and changes in floor height between rooms need resolving with something better than a butt joint.

Scotia and edge trims

Every floating floor requires an expansion gap at the perimeter so boards can move without buckling. Scotia covers that gap along skirting boards, giving a finished edge without the disruption of removing and refitting existing skirting.

Transition and reducer profiles

Where flooring meets carpet, tile or a different floor height, a transition profile handles the join cleanly and removes the trip hazard an exposed edge creates. Doorways are the usual application, along with the step between a floating floor and an adjoining slab.

Getting the details right

Trims are most effective when they go unnoticed. Colour matching profiles to the floor keeps edges and doorways reading as part of the installation rather than as an afterthought, which is the difference between a floor that looks finished and one that looks nearly finished.

Order accessories with your floor

Working out trim requirements alongside your flooring order avoids the common problem of a floor sitting installed but unfinished while edging is sourced separately. Measure perimeters and count doorways at the same time you calculate floor area.
